How to analyze videos on Skouting Platform with Artificial Intelligence

Boost Your Fencing Analysis with Our Advanced Scouting Tool!

Tired of wasting hours analyzing fencing videos?   Our platform lets you extract key information quickly and accurately.

Detect multiple combats in a single video and produce several videos from it with a restriction of a basic account
(Algorithm designed for Fencing)

Once you are logged in with your individual account on the Engarde Service website, follow these steps:

1.  Access the AI:

​

  • Once you have created your video, go to the AI icon and click on it.

2.  Select the Weapon:

​

  • Indicate whether the video shows foil, épée, or saber bouts.

3.  Combat detection and segmentation algorithm:

​

  • Full Video Analysis:

    • The system receives as input a long-duration video containing multiple fencing bouts.

    • A continuous analysis of the video is performed to identify movement patterns and pauses that indicate the start and end of each bout.

​

  • Temporal Segmentation:

    • Precise time markers are established to delimit each individual bout.

    • Separate video segments are created, each corresponding to a detected bout.

​

  • Individual Video Generation:

    • From the video segments, individual video files are generated, one for each bout.

    • These videos are configured by default to share only with Basic accounts.

​

 Application of the Algorithm “Detection of lights, points, time, names to each combat:

​

  • Analysis of Each Bout:

    • Each of the individual bout videos is subjected to the analysis algorithm.

    • The algorithm processes each video to detect:

      • Scoring Lights: Identifies the moments when the lights indicating a touch turn on.

      • Points: Records the points scored by each fencer.

      • Action Times: Marks the key moments of each action (attacks, parries, counterattacks).

      • Fencer Names: Identifies the participating fencers.
